Privacy Policy

VoicedIn is run by Sarang Bhirad, an individual based in India (“we”, “us”). This policy explains what we collect when you use voicedin.app, why, who helps us process it, and what you can do about it. The short version: we collect only what the product needs, we never store your voice recordings, and we never sell your data.
What we collect
- From LinkedIn when you sign in: your name, email address, profile photo and LinkedIn member ID.
- LinkedIn access permission: the access token (and refresh token, if LinkedIn issues one) that lets VoicedIn publish posts you choose to publish. These are encrypted at rest and only ever used on our servers.
- Your timezone, detected from your browser, so your streak counts days where you live.
- Voice recordings: sent for transcription and then discarded. We do not store your audio.
- Your words and posts: transcripts, the drafts generated from them, your edited text, and, once published, the LinkedIn post ID and date.
- Billing details: if you subscribe, your plan, subscription status, renewal date and a customer ID from our payment provider. We never see or store your card number.
- Usage counts: the time of each recording, draft and post you make, used only to apply daily fair-use limits and deleted after two days.
- Technical data: standard server logs (such as IP address and browser type) kept by our hosting provider for security and debugging.
How we use it
- To sign you in and keep you signed in.
- To turn your recordings into drafts and publish the posts you choose to publish.
- To track your streak and show your post history.
- To run your free trial and subscription.
- To keep the service secure and fix problems.
- To contact you about your account or important changes.
VoicedIn never posts to LinkedIn without you pressing the post button. We do not use your data for advertising, and we do not sell it.
Who processes your data
We rely on a small number of service providers, each handling only what their part of the product needs, under their own terms and privacy policies:
- Supabase: database and sign-in. Stores your account, posts and encrypted LinkedIn tokens.
- OpenAI: transcribes your recordings.
- Anthropic: writes drafts from your transcripts.
- LinkedIn: sign-in, and publishing the posts you choose to publish.
- Dodo Payments: payments, as merchant of record. It collects and processes your payment details under its own privacy policy.
- Vercel: hosts the website.
- YouTube: plays the video on our home page, using its privacy-enhanced mode. YouTube may set cookies if you play it.
These providers may process data in countries other than your own, including the United States.
Cookies
We only use cookies needed to run the service: one to keep you signed in, and two short-lived ones (under ten minutes) used during LinkedIn sign-in. We use no analytics or advertising cookies.
How long we keep it
We keep your account and posts for as long as you have an account. Voice recordings are never kept. If you delete your account, we delete your profile, drafts, post history, streak and LinkedIn tokens. We may keep limited billing records where the law requires it.
Posts you published stay on LinkedIn until you delete them there; deleting your VoicedIn account does not remove them from LinkedIn.
Your choices and rights
- Access, correct, export or delete your data by emailing sarangbhirad@gmail.com. We will respond within 30 days.
- Remove VoicedIn’s access to LinkedIn at any time from your LinkedIn settings, under permitted services. Your history and drafts stay in VoicedIn, and signing in with LinkedIn again reconnects your account.
- Cancel your subscription from Settings, under Billing.
Depending on where you live, including under India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act and the EU and UK GDPR, you may have further rights, such as objecting to processing or complaining to a data protection authority. Contact us first and we will help.
Security
All traffic is encrypted over HTTPS. LinkedIn tokens are encrypted at rest and never sent to your browser. Database rules restrict every account’s data to that account. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable care and will tell you promptly if a breach affects your data.
Age
VoicedIn is for people aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone younger.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will update the effective date above, and for significant changes we will tell you by email or in the app before they apply.
